When Waldemar Link first opened his specialist hospital supply business in Hamburg on January 1, 1948, he could not have known that one day WALDEMAR LINK GmbH & Co. KG would be an international enterprise, one of the world's leading manufacturers of orthopaedic implants and surgical instruments.  The focus of the company was established early on with the development of specialized surgical instrument sets.  Our founder saw the growing demand in the surgical profession for more efficient and reliable technical solutions, and he rigorously designed his products to meet these standards.

While some companies have chosen to deviate from precision German manufacturing and top quality German stainless steel for their instrument products, LINK has never waivered from our core belief that a surgeon's tools must always be of the highest grade.  On the surface, many surgical instruments appear similar and it is only through repetitive use that differences in quality become apparent.  LINK believes, and our growing success confirms, that customers will appreciate the high quality and performance which are signatures of LINK spinal instruments, and they will return time and again to meet their future needs.
